Well as the work week winds down, I just wanted to show you a few things I have been up to. First thing, I made another Amy Butler Coin Keeper: In the background you will see the cathedral quilt that I wrote about here. Patiently I have completed 2 rows. Maybe I will do 2 more this weekend?
Late in the afternoon, I thought to myself that I wanted to make a little blouse, so I put together the Colette Sorbetto, a free downloadable pattern. This is the second thing I sewed and it is a real easy sew, you can change it up to express your own individual style! Here’s what I put together:
I used a fabric that I purchased from Joann’s Fabrics. (By the way did you know that there is a Joann’s Fabrics App? It is really awesome and lets you keep your coupons in your phone and use them when you are checking out at the register).
This is a Lisette fabric and is so soft! I was really surprised! Joann’s had a large selection of all sorts of Lisette fabrics. I had a really hard time making a decision.
A close-up shot reveals the detail of the fabric and also the bias tape I made out of a gingham black and white cotton. I will be wearing this today!
So as I close this week of sew grateful, here is another thing that I am grateful for:
PEEK-A-BOO! (that’s our dogs’ name- the other one is Ruby
Have a great weekend!
